New Quick Access 2x High Speed Floppy Disc Drive 
This new exclusive technology developed by Sony allows for double the speed when recording or playing back images. The high speed spindle motor combined with new DSP also allows for quicker JPEG compression. Sony's new floppy drive is the fastest drive available. 4 seconds to write the file.  

Removable 3.5" 2 HD Floppy Storage Media 
The floppy disc is still the storage media of choice. Floppy discs continue to be inexpensive, and easy to use. No hassles with connecting wires or interfaces, just insert into your PC's floppy drive. Each disc will store up to 40 images per disc.  

Progressive Scan CCD 
Progressive Scan provides high quality still images by reading all the pixels on an imager (CCD) with a single pass. This one time pass over the imager delivers clean edges and an overall sharper pictures for still images.  

10:1 Optical Zoom Lens with Auto/Manual Focus Ring and Auto Macro Capability 
Equivalent to a f40 to 400mm zoom lens in a 35mm camera, this powerful zoom lens gives you ample flexibility to compose your pictures just the way you want. The new focus ring allows for a more accurate, professional picture. The auto macro capability allows you to get as close as one inch to your subject.  

Whole Disk Copy 
Sony's the only company that lets you share your images right on the spot with anyone. Whole Disk Copy lets you make a copy of your pictures right inside the camera. Simply select the Disk copy from the menu with your original disk in the camera and Mavica will save images in temporary memory. Place a new disk in and you have an exact copy of all your pictures to share with anyone. You are not limited to just pictures, Excel, PowerPoint and Word files can be copied from disk to disk.  

Multi Screen Mode 
Take 9 images in just 2 seconds to capture all the action. Multi Screen even lets you playback your images in succession, on the LCD screen to review the action sequence.  

Non-Compression Mode 
For the best image quality, choose non-compressed mode to capture your pictures in the highest quality.  

E-Mail Mode 
Need to send images over the Internet? E-mail mode reduces the size of your file to the _ the standard file 320 x 240 for fast Internet downloads. Now your pictures will 'send' over the Internet with ease and speed.  

Picture Freeze on LCD with Quick Replay 
Picture Freeze instantly displays the image that you've captured, on the LCD, when you press and hold the shutter button down. Quick Replay displays the last image captured, as soon as you go to the 'PLAY' mode, on the LCD.  

Index Mode 
In the 'play' mode, you can select the Index Mode to view 6 'thumbnail' images on the LCD at one time. You can view, select, delete, or view the next 6 images while in the Index Mode.  

Four Pre-Programmed Special Effects 
Allows you to change the look and feel of your pictures on-camera and in real-time, without additional software. Effects include Monotone, Sepia, Negative Art, and Solarization.  

Auto Exposure With Six Pre-Programmed Auto Exposure Modes 
To give you the best possible results when shooting under difficult light conditions. The different modes are: Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Beach & Snow, Sunset and Moon, and Panfocus.
