It captures commercial-quality images with the speed, ease, and flexibility of digital imaging. You can depend on it to go where you go and deliver what you need.

The DCS 660's new ITO-based, 6-million-pixel CCD (3040 x 2008) improves spectral response and increases light sensitivity. At 12 bits per pixel, and with instantaneous capture of the full RGB matrix, it delivers exceptional color. The full-frame viewfinder shows you exactly what the CCD sensor sees. You get true wide-angle performance with your wide angle lenses, and an effective focal length 1.3 times the nominal focal length shown on the lens. And, with the advanced anti-aliasing technology in the DCS 660, moiré problems are virtually eliminated.

Verify composition and exposure
With the 1.8-inch LCD, you, the model, and the client can review shots as they're taken and improve poses. Using the histogram display to evaluate exposure, you'll be sure of getting good detail in shadows and highlights. Your location shots will go faster than ever, and you'll return home knowing you got a well-composed and well-exposed image.

Burst rate and ISO range
With a 32 MB DRAM buffer, you can take a burst of 3 frames, 1 every second, before writing to the PC card. An ISO of 80 to 200 gives you flexibility during the shoot.

Full portability
Shoot virtually anywhere using the rechargeable NiCd battery. Each removable battery captures up to 100 images (depending on LCD usage). The separate battery charger holds two batteries and uses intelligent charging to keep batteries in top condition—so whatever the assignment, whatever the location, you'll be ready to go.

Camera Body The design of the DCS 660 Digital Camera offers enhanced reliability in challenging conditions. The lightweight, solid aluminum-alloy die-cast NIKON F5 Camera body is constructed for durability and resistance to moisture and dust penetration.

White balance
Choose from a variety of white balance modes, including Custom for difficult lighting situations, Manual for daylight, tungsten, fluorescent, or studio lighting (e.g., flash, strobes), or Auto for fast-changing lighting conditions. After your shot, the KODAK PROFESSIONAL Acquire Module applies the calibrated color correction for the type of lighting and allows you to change the white-balance settings afterwards, for creative control not possible with other camera systems.

IEEE 1394 interface
This high-performance serial bus facilitates high-speed data transfer between electronic devices. It frees you from ID number settings and gives you the flexibility to connect and disconnect while computers are operating.

Applications
The DCS 660 Camera offers commercial and industrial photographers the highest level of image quality. This camera gives access to high-quality images more quickly and cost effectively than ever possible with traditional film-based cameras. The DCS 660 Camera also meets the demands of photographers in medical and scientific imaging where instant access to images is critical.
