The LCD Lets You Verify Composition and Exposure On-the-Spot

With the 1.8-inch built-in liquid crystal display (LCD), you, the model, and the client can review shots as they're taken and improve poses. Using the histogram display to evaluate exposure, you'll be sure of getting good detail in shadows and highlights. And, use the LCD to display one, four, or nine images per panel. With its interactive menu interface, you can set white balance as well as date and time, update firmware, format PC cards, and set up image folders. The LCD panel lets you create and select folders on the PC card. The folder selection screen displays the number of images in each folder and lets you select a folder for recording or reviewing images. You can rename the folders on your production computer for organizing complex shoots and select them in your camera.

Calibrated through-the-lens (TTL) flash metering provides proper exposure

An integrated optical anti-aliasing filter minimizes color-aliasing artifacts and improves image quality. All the information you need -- including mode, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, lens focal length, exposure correction level, date/time stamp, and white balance -- is recorded automatically in the image file. Verify your settings on the built-in LCD panel as well as on your production computer using the Acquire Module. (Driver software included -- TWAIN for WINDOWS 95 and WINDOWS NT 4.0 or greater, and ADOBE PHOTOSHOP for MACINTOSH OS 7.6.1 or greater.) Voice-annotate your shots while shooting or reviewing images using the microphone on the back of the camera.

Full-frame CCD
The new ITO-based, 6-million-pixel CCD (3072 x 2048) improves spectral response and increases light sensitivity. At 12 bitsper pixel, and with instantaneous capture of the full RGB matrix, it delivers exceptional color. The full-frame viewfinder shows you exactly what the CCD sensor sees. You get true wide angle performance with your wide angle lenses, and an effective focal length 1.3 times the nominal focal length shown on the lens.

Wide ISO Range
The effective sensitivity of the CCD corresponds to ISO 80 as standard, but you can increase it up to the equivalent of ISO 200 in 1/3-stop increments. You can also change the ISO setting at any time during the shoot.

Burst Rate
With a 32 MB DRAM buffer, you can take a burst of 3 frames, 1 every second, before writing to the PC card.

Removable, Rechargeable Battery
Shoot virtually anywhere using the rechargeable NiCad battery. Each removable battery captures up to 100 images (depending on LCD usage). The separate battery charger (included) holds two batteries and uses intelligent charging to keep batteries in top condition -- so whatever the assignment, whatever the location, you'll be ready to go.

White Balance
Choose from a variety of white balance modes, including Custom for difficult lighting situations, Manual for daylight, tungsten, fluorescent, or studio lighting (e.g., flash, strobes), or Auto for fast-changing lighting conditions. After your shot, the KODAK PROFESSIONAL Acquire Module applies the calibrated color correction for the type of lighting and allows you to change the white-balance settings afterwards, for creative control not possible with other camera systems.
